There are a lot of great things to see when you visit the UK. As a student you probably have a limited amount of time and funds to spend in the UK and therefore you should plan your trip so you know what you will be seeing and doing each day. Creating an itinerary for yourself will allow you to see as much as possible even if you will only be in the United Kingdom for a few days.

Top Five Places to Visit

One place that you will absolutely want to visit is the Windsor Castle. Even if you don’t have all that much interest in the Royal Family the Windsor Castle is worth seeing and it doesn’t take all that much time to experience it. You could even double up by seeing this and something else in the area in the same day. After you see the Windsor Castle you may just start taking an interest in the Royal Family!

Another place that you will absolutely want to visit when in the UK is Stonehenge. This is a very mysterious presence of stone that is located on the Salisbury Plain. This is a one of a kind experience and it doesn’t matter how much you have read about this area or what you have seen in books or on television, nothing can prepare you for how awesome Stonehenge is.

Yet another great place to visit is York Minster where students can check out the largest medieval gothic cathedral in northern Europe. This is a great site to behold and will give students a glimpse at gothic architecture and simply allow them to step back in time and see something that you will not find anywhere else in the world.
If you like beaches you will definitely want to check out St Ives Cornwall. Here you will find beautiful beaches that are shaded in some parts and beautifully sunny in other areas. If you are into the arts you will also love this area as there are many artists’ studios to visit. Last but not least, students may want to visit Stratford upon Avon. Seems an odd pick for some, but if you are at all interested in literature you will appreciate a visit to this area. Stratford on Avon was the hometown of Shakespeare and is truly a great place to visit for students of any age.
