The capital of Northern Ireland, Belfast has experienced tremendous growth since the signing of the Good Friday Agreement. Investors were quick to see the advantages of regenerating the city centre, and today it is a hub for commerce, industry and tourism. We at Holiday Inn Belfast have meeting rooms that meet the needs of all three.

With confidence at an all-time high, Belfast is benefitting from a sustained period of economic growth. Large-scale redevelopment of the city centre has removed all traces of its troubled past, without detracting from its cultural heritage - much of which was left in tatters due to The Troubles.

Belfast has a thriving Arts scene. The picturesque Cathedral Quarter has been extensively restored and developed as the leading cultural quarter, housing some of the city's oldest and most beautiful heritage buildings - not least, St Anne's Cathedral itself. The city also has an impressive number of Victorian and Edwardian parks and gardens. Historic Ormeau Park, near which we at Holiday Inn Belfast are sited, is the oldest in Belfast. Opened in 1871, it has retained all of its Victorian charm while still managing to host an impressive number of sports and arts events - including the Tennants ViTal music festival. Currently, it is being considered as an alternative to The Maze for the new Northern Island Stadium. This would be sited where the Ozone leisure facility is now, thus protecting the park's heritage and beauty.

We at Holiday Inn Belfast are fortunate to be adjacent to one of the city's most intriguing heritage landmarks, the Victorian Ormeau Swimming Baths. Today, it is an important exhibition gallery for contemporary visual art. Those booking our meeting rooms also have the benefit of being close to the River Lagan, which has been extensively redeveloped with the Laganside project. A mixture of old and new, the project encompasses the prestigious new arts and exhibition centres of Waterfront Hall and the Odyssey complex; the restored splendour of the old gas works, and the technological marvel of the Lagan Weir.

Other recent developments in Belfast have been the Victoria Square retail complex, the Obel Tower (which, when finished, will be the tallest skyscraper in Ireland), and the regenerated Titanic Quarter. Located on the site where the ill-fated RMS Titanic was built, plans include a blue-chip technology district, entertainments complex and a Titanic family theme park.

Many of these developments are ongoing, with others in the pipeline, making it an exciting time to invest in Belfast's future. Not surprisingly, we at Holiday Inn Belfast have to offer a bit more than just meeting rooms, and we do. We are a state-of-the-art Academy, with conference rooms and training suites to meet a wide range of group sizes and needs. Air-conditioning, adjustable lighting, self-contained business facilities and an on-site AV manager ensure every detail is taken care of.

With a private bar, and meeting rooms able to accommodate up to 600 guests, we at Holiday Inn Belfast are able to deal with boardroom strategy meetings and staff training courses as we can with large trade conferences and corporate parties. We offer everything the Belfast business entrepreneur could need.
